Tiger Woods became his son’s caddy

The famous Tiger Woods is preparing his successor well, as his son Charlie proved again this weekend by securing his place at the Notah Begay III National Championship, the premier event in junior golf in the United States.

The young 14-year-old was also able to count on the help of his father, who served as a cadet for the regional qualifying competition on Sunday. He shot a 66, six shots under par, to finish at the top of the 14- to 15-year-old category and secure his ticket to the national tournament, scheduled for Nov. 4-6 in Louisiana .

“It’s excellent. “We just stay in our own little world,” the winner commented to the Golf Channel, citing the work of his renowned caddie. We take one shot at a time. He puts me in a good position. I speak with him about my next tee shot and he says, “No, that’s the shot you need to focus on first. That’s what we’re going to do.”

“Of course the course is very beneficial for me. It’s one shot at a time, you don’t have to think too much in advance and you can just keep going,” added the man who birdied his first three holes before clinching his victory with an eagle on a rolled eight. Foot mark on the 18th flag confirmed.

Getting back to the “Tiger,” he easily hit a few balls during a golf course in New Jersey about two weeks ago. After his shortened participation in the Masters tournament earlier this year, he underwent surgery on his right ankle in April.
