TikTok: A “fake” Starbucks opens in Algeria and goes viral

The sun is rising in Oran, Algeria and the early risers have a smile on their faces: a Starbucks has finally opened on the corner. They happily shared the news on social media, unaware that they were actually advertising a “fake” Starbucks that closed its doors as quickly as it opened.

At the microphone of Yasmine Abdelfadel, Me Chanel Alepin returns via QUB radio to this strange situation, to say the least.

“We must not think that someone is claiming [être] If you are a franchisee and run a corresponding marketing campaign, Starbucks won’t get caught! “They have done their homework,” emphasized the lawyer who specializes in franchise and intellectual property protection.

The “Fast” cafe finally closed its doors on Tuesday after allegations were made against its owner. On social networks, Selim Haffar claims that he has received approval from the big bosses to open a franchise in Algeria.

According to him, the director of Starbucks even shared with him the company’s “secret” recipes and allowed him to pay for his license once the company became profitable.

Apparently, Starbucks denied these comments and confirmed on X that it had never opened branches in Algeria, putting an end to the rumors.

Although Starbucks has not confirmed that it has taken legal action, the owner of the “fake” franchise is facing serious charges.
