TikToker Remi Bader visits a ranch and is turned away for being overweight and labeled “fat.”

Plus-size influencer Remi Bader, 26, has blasted a ranch in the Hamptons after being turned away for “being overweight” – before the owner’s son branded her a “fat bitch” on social media.

Remi – who rose to viral fame on TikTok for posting “realistic clothing transports” and fittings – visited Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk, New York last weekend while attending a press tour for Jon Bon Voji’s Rosé-Hampton Water.

But while many of the images and videos posted to social media by her fellow influencers showed a giggling group of social media stars living the high-life in the exclusive Long Island area, Remi later revealed, that behind the shiny Instagram experiences lies a heartbreaking reality of the other participants.

The online star shared her experience on TikTok, where she posted a video in which she claimed that Deep Hollow Ranch — which charges a family of four for a 30-minute horseback riding lesson $250 plus a 22 percent tip — charges her from a horseback riding lesson rejected because she weighed over 240[lbs]’.

To add insult to injury, Remi later revealed that the ranch owner’s son, Brody Keogh, had posted a video in response to her post branding her a “fat bitch” and saying, “If you’re not fat b**** to ride at Deep Hollow Ranch.’

While the response video has since been deleted, Remi re-shared the video on her own account and said, “Imagine this was Deep Hollow Ranch’s response to your experience.”

This event comes just a month after Remi started her treatment for binge eating disorder.

Remi shared a follow-up post to her Instagram Story in which she claimed she would never want to harm a small business, but was disappointed with the way she was treated.

“I posted for a reason and it’s not because I was denied riding the horses. I understand some places have weight requirements and I would never want to hurt the horses but it was the way I was spoken to [to] and laughed at by the owner and how I was treated overall,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

Remi added that it was “made very clear that they didn’t want me there because of my weight and that’s disappointing.”

In a response statement posted to Facebook, Deep Hollow Ranch said, “A teenage employee posted a response that in no way reflects or agrees with the views of the ranch owners. We want to apologize to anyone who offended this and we do not condone or approve of any part of this employee’s video.

Deep Hollow Ranch also apologized after the “teen clerk’s” comments, adding that they “apologize to anyone who took offense”.

The ranch has since come under fire when its Facebook post received over 400 comments, all expressing how “disgusting” were the events that took place.

Hampton Water, which organized the weekend at Deep Hollow Ranch for the influencers, commented on the situation, saying they were “outraged by the events that took place at Deep Hollow Ranch and their treatment of our good friend Remi Bader. The Hampton Water team and our third party vendors were not made aware of the ranch policies prior to the event and we would never put anyone in a situation that makes them uncomfortable.’

“We will not be working with Deep Hollow Ranch again and do not condone any of the following events. Inclusivity and friendliness are ingrained in the founding of Hampton Water. We want to express our deepest apologies to Remi,” said Jesse Bongiovi, co-founder of Hampton Water Wine, in a statement released on Twitter.

The New York ranch has two websites, one of which is a blog linked to Facebook that shares the weight a horse can carry.

The horse guide advises that a rider “should not account for more than 15% of the horse’s weight”, as well as a chart outlining how much weight horses from 700 to 2,000 pounds can carry.

The chart notes that the smallest horse, weighing 700 pounds, can carry a 105-pound person, while the largest horse, weighing 2,000 pounds, can carry a 300-pound person.

The blog also has a list of the best horses for “oversized riders”.

However, the ranch’s main website has no information on how much a person should weigh to ride a horse, only information on the services offered at the ranch.

Ratings for the ranch have plummeted since the incident, as people have shared their opinions on both Yelp and their website.

One user commented, “Your decision to shame a customer and use hateful misogynistic slurs says who you are as a company.”

While another added: “Bring Deep Hollow Ranch down.”

Remi has been with several other influencers including Brooks Nader, Ella Rose, Jijordyn, Kit Kennan, Ruby Saracino and Agnes Kudokis.

When Remi was turned away, none of her influencer “friends” went with her, instead they chose to let Remi go alone.

The TikToker has said in multiple videos that she will never understand why her “size could bother anyone so much”.
