Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are on their way.
The famous duo have announced their first live tour together, comically titled The Restless Leg Tour. The latter will air a limited run of shows on the East Coast this spring, with Saturday Night Live’s vets sharing stories and jokes rooted in their 30-year friendship.
“If this tour goes well, we can finally end this friendship!” the couple joked in a joint statement.
The tour, which reunites a prolific duo who achieved considerable success together on stage at the Golden Globes, not to mention their time together on SNL and in film, is being produced by Live Nation. It is currently planned as a four city engagement that will begin on April 28 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. Fey and Poehler end up in Chicago, Boston and Atlantic City for the remainder of the tour.
Poehler and Fey, who have both built bona fide comedy empires across television, books, and film, are the latest comedy forces to hit the road, channeling their comedic timing and chemistry into another revenue stream. Samantha Bee is among the others, and late last year announced her plans to move from television to the stage with a live tour.
