247 According to O Globo newspaper, Nora Afida Turner, widow of Ronnie Taylor, son of Tina Turner, opened the Queen of Rock legacy game in a French TV show. While participating in the TPMP show broadcast by Canal+, the former reality TV star didn’t hide her embarrassment when asked about it.

According to the program, Tina Turner, who officially resided in Switzerland and owned a home in southern France, is estimated to be worth nearly $300 million. Afida announced that about 47% of the estate will go to the singer’s husband, Erwin Bach, while the rest will be divided among the children.

Tina Turner had four children during her lifetime. Two of them, Craig and Ronnie, are her biological children, while the other two, Ike Turner Jr. and Michael Turner were the children of her first husband Ike and were adopted by Tina after the death of their mother, Lorraine Taylor.

Gilles Verdez, one of the moderators, explained in the program how the division should be carried out using Swiss law. Under the application of this law, the inheritance would accrue to the husband, the two remaining children, and the two adopted children. People outside this group could only receive something if they were mentioned in the will.

However, a thorny issue arose: Afida claimed that Tina would never have legally adopted her exhusband’s two children, despite raising them as her own. She emphasized, “The only ‘blood’, as they say, descendants of Tina Turner would be Craig and Ronnie.”

PROCEED TO RECOMMENDATIONS

In 2018, eldest son Craig, born of the singer’s relationship with saxophonist Raymond Hill when she was just 18, died at the age of 55, apparently by suicide. Four years later, the youngest, Ronnie, also died of complications from cancer.

Born in 1958 to Ike and Lorraine Taylor, Ike Turner Jr. is believed to be Tina’s son and was adopted by her after Lorraine’s death. So did Michael Turner, born in 1959, who spent most of his life out of the limelight.

Uncertainties remain over how the division of Tina Turner’s legacy will be settled, particularly regarding the legal status of the adopted children.
