Tired, Dataa resigns from Rádio Bandeirantes and has to undergo two operations TV

Presenter José Luiz Dataa resigned from Rádio Bandeirantes last Thursday (28) and left the command of the broadcast Manhã Bandeirantes. “I asked to leave because of the big work,” he said TV news. Next Thursday (5) he will undergo two “complex” operations and leave Bands Brasil Urgente for some time.

Dataa, 66 years old, confirms that she had a conflict of opinion with the radio management, but denies that this was the reason for her departure. “It was really tired and I had to take care of my health.”

“As far as opinions go, everyone has their own. There are people who think that R$3,800 is a great salary for a teacher in São Paulo. I disagree. At SPTrans there are people who earn between R$15,000 and R$30,000. Deputy mayoral positions from R$30,000. Chiefs of Staff of R$30,000 or more. I really disagree with those who think that educators are overworked, are responsible for educating the country and deserve a pittance,” he said.

This was my last disagreement, including from the radio board. But it went completely smoothly, even calmly and outside of my standard reaction. But that’s it. In short, it was just that: fatigue and concern for health. After the surgeries I’m going to have, I need to take some time off [hospital] Syrian [Libanês].

The journalist also denied rumors that he had mistreated radio staff. “It’s gossip from bad people. “I’m tired of it,” he emphasized.

For Datena, her daily workload was too high: “Two hours in the morning and almost four hours of Brasil Urgente. A lot of things per day. I didn’t do it every day anymore.”

“Next Thursday I have two operations, I already have six stents. It’s time to remove my foot,” he added, without giving details of the surgical procedures. “They’re a bit complex, I prefer the doctors talk about it later.”

Live chatter

Last Thursday, the presenter spoke live with Cátia Fonseca about the decision during the handover of the baton from Melhor da Tarde to Brasil Urgente. “Today I’m really upset. I had to give up my activities at Rádio Bandeirantes,” he said.

“With my six stents, I had a pain in my heart when I had to leave the most historic radio in Brazil. But it didn’t work out, I stayed there for four years,” he said.

Cátia comforted her colleague. “But it worked. Do you know what I’m thinking? We often want to hug the world and can’t. It’s not easy, it’s not easy. We know that we are at our limit to be able to do it… “We know when we can do your best,” said the moderator.

“It was a shame. The show had the largest audience on Rádio Bandeirantes. It reached 120,000 listeners per minute. It was a shame to leave with pain in my heart. Of course the doors are open, one day, who knows, I’ll be back. But I have to admit that I left there very sad, I had to make this decision. It’s a shame because I love it, I love radio with a passion. But there is a time when you close the cycle,” he concluded to Dataa.

The veteran commanded Manhã Bandeirantes for the last time on the 27th. This was the journalist’s second assignment to the radio, to which he returned in March 2020.
