Fired GMA host TJ Holmes admitted he wants to marry Amy Robach as the flirtatious couple continue to discuss their love life on their self-titled podcast.
Robach, 50, said marriage was “under consideration,” adding that the couple entered into the relationship “because we planned to spend our lives together.”
However, she continued, “We've both been through two marriages and so it's not something we're running or rushing toward.”
In response, Holmes, 46, joked about a “tiny box” waiting under the Christmas tree this year and said: “I want to marry you, partly because you're 50 and I'm 46. And I'm very happy.” “I'm tired of introducing a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend.”
The 46-year-old posted a montage from the latest episode of the Amy and TJ Podcast to Instagram on Tuesday. In an excerpt from the question-and-answer episode, Robach, 50, revealed, “TJ told me he loved me before he ever held my hand.”
The marriage talk comes a year after DailyMail.com uncovered the couple's secret affair. This led to her firing from Good Morning America and the end of both marriages. Now the couple's exes, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, have started dating.
In an excerpt from the latest episode of her self-titled podcast, former GMA host TJ Holmes confessed his desire to marry Amy Robach. As the duo answered questions about marriage, Robach said, “TJ told me he loved me before he ever held my hand.”'
During the question-and-answer portion of the episode, callers grilled the former colleagues about their love lives.
When Holmes commented that calling a 50-year-old woman his girlfriend sounded “stupid,” Robach responded jokingly.
'Everyone knows that! “But you will soon be 51 and I will be 46. When you were in high school, I was in elementary school,” Holmes said.
According to Robach, Holmes has a habit of pointing out the five-year age difference.
In the final clip from the segment, Robach explained, “I just learned more than ever before, not just about myself, but about people I thought I knew.”
The duo announced their podcast last month through a joint Instagram post that said, “How's this for Instagram officials?” #silentnomore.”
The first episode debuted on December 5, exactly one year after Holmes and Robach were fired from Good Morning America.
The broadcast journalists were “temporarily removed from the show” last year after rumors about their affair spread. They were officially fired on January 27 following an internal investigation.
DailyMail.com was the first to reveal their entanglement after photographers captured the duo getting physical during a retreat in upstate New York.
On November 10, 2022 – the day before the now infamous weekend getaway – the two were spotted at O'Donoghue's Bar in Times Square, hours after pre-recording their daily post.
“They were madly in love with each other,” an eyewitness told DailyMail.com.
“She giggled at everything he said and they looked at each other's phones.” “At one point she was dancing in her chair to the music and laughing so hard she practically fell into his lap.”
The day before they set off on a romantic upstate getaway in November 2022, Robach and Holmes were spotted deep in conversation at a bar in Times Square. They spent the weekend in a rented cottage and checked in on November 13th. Holmes was seen patting Robach's butt as she loaded the car
The next day, Holmes was seen leaving his apartment with a backpack and a duffel bag and heading to a West Village restaurant near Robach's apartment after the morning's filming.
Moments later, he turned the corner and walked up the block to Robach, who was waiting to pick him up in her BMW convertible.
The couple set off on a two-hour drive north of the city to the Shawangunk Mountains, where they checked into a cottage in the middle of nowhere.
They left on November 13, and Holmes was seen grabbing Robach by the butt as she bent over to pack up the car.
On November 17, the couple reunited after filming was completed. Holmes met Robach, a stage 2 breast cancer survivor, at NYU Langone Medical Center. Later, Robach's girlfriend walked her dog while she and Holmes stayed in their apartment.
The duo were taken off air less than a month after the photos were published, although viewers were told the change was “temporary.”
In January, staff were notified of the couple's departure via email.
“I want to let you know that we have made a decision about TJ and Amy,” it said.
The couple made an announcement for their podcast on December 5, writing, “How's this for Instagram officials?” Earlier this month, DailyMail.com discovered that the couple's exes, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, have two cats in Shue's car got stuck. The couple has reportedly been dating for months
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about various options, we all agreed that it was best for everyone that they leave ABC News.”
“We recognize their talent and dedication over the years and are grateful for their contributions.”
Robach's ex-husband Andrew Shue deleted all traces of her from social media just days after news of the infidelity broke.
The couple married in 2008 after Robach split from Tim McIntosh and had a blended family with five children from previous marriages.
Likewise, Holmes and his ex-wife Marilee Fiebig divorced in December 2022 after reportedly separating in August.
The couple had a baby girl in 2013 and were married for 12 years. Holmes has two other children, a son and a daughter, from his previous marriage to Amy Ferson.
In a surprise twist, it was revealed on December 5 that the scorned exes had been together for about six months.
Fiebig and Shue's relationship came to light almost a year later, with insiders confirming that the two had grown closer following their exes' scandalous romance.
On Friday, the two were photographed cramming into his green Jeep Wrangler before heading off for the weekend.
The two have reportedly bonded over the experience of seeing their marriages fail so publicly.
