To see the exhibition about Renoir in Rovigo, he pays with the app, but gets a fine Rovigo.News

ROVIGO – It provides the proof, not only that, it sends a certified email to the mayor Edoardo Gaffeoto the local police commissioner, Giorgia Businaro, and for information to the commander of the local police Alfonso Cavaliere and to the Prefect of Rovigo Clemens DiNuzzo.

Dear mayor,

Dear councillor,

Today, April 19, 2023, I went to Rovigo to see the Renoir exhibition at Palazzo Roverella. I have to say that I was very satisfied with the exhibition. The facility is great and the staff is very friendly. I had to have coffee and lunch in town as well as take a long walk downtown. The city that welcomed me, very peaceful and pleasant to look at, made me feel at home. I’m from Biella and although it’s a bit smaller than Rovigo it has the same vibe. In short, I was about to go home happy until there was a virtual meeting with the community that ruined everything. Obviously tourists are not very welcome in the administration. In fact, I found a fine on the windshield of the car. If I had committed an offence, I would accept it, but the fact is that the record proves the inspector’s incompetence. Upon my arrival I left the car in via Mazzini in the paid stands. I activated parking with the Telepass app and checked out the exhibition and the city.

The municipality has reached an agreement with the company Telepass to make it easier for motorists to pay. In fact, you don’t go to the subway park to pay and print the receipt. The inspectors should have just read the sticker I put on the windscreen on August 18th when I installed the Telepass Next device on the car. Maybe the park attendants and local police officers don’t know the procedures? Or who wrote the report can write but not read? If I had made a mistake I would have had to pay, now that the Metropolitan Police make a mistake (as can be seen from the report title), who pays? If you need to fix the municipal budget, instead of taking revenge on the tourists, cut the fees for those who aren’t wrong.

But it’s not over yet. When I saw the fine, I immediately contacted the local police command reported on the notification of the log. Whoever picked up told me to call the fines office which they gave me the number for but no one answered at 4:28pm. I contacted the local police headquarters and asked to speak to a manager as I was unable to speak to the relevant office. I was told the office was closed and I would have to call back the next morning. He could have told me earlier. I asked again to speak to a manager or I would have made the story public. The busy operator replied that I could do whatever I wanted, but I had to keep the line free for emergencies. I didn’t call the dispatcher, I called the switchboard. But who am I to have answers?

Well, the news outlets now know the story, just like I promised. Do you know that too and what do you do? I ask you to lift the fine and take the necessary measures. Anyway thank you for the management of the city, as a traveler I’m at a loss. What happened is not just a mistake, but a lack of knowledge of the systems activated by the community itself. My question is: is the incompetence limited to the employee who prepared the report or to the administration as a whole?

I’m not a citizen of Rovigo and I don’t vote, but I’m a traveler so I tell and share.
