The young woman decided to create TikTok videos after realizing that she and her guests were not alone at the California estate.
She hopes her experience will serve as a warning to other users of the platform.
Alexa’s fiancé sums up the situation in the first video: “It was a beautiful house. At first everything went very well. Until one of the girls noticed there was a fake door.
The door led onto a set of stairs that not only was hidden by a false wall, but also didn’t appear on the Airbnb ad, which also stated that it was a single family home.
Alexa’s fiancé explained after discovering the hidden staircase, “the women were a little scared, so they went out into the garden where there were a lot of cameras.” They were sitting by the fireplace when a light suddenly went on upstairs and they could see a man , who watched her through the window.
The group immediately called the police.
In the second video, which has been viewed 1.2 million times, Alexa continues the story of the events.
“When we were in the hot tub, the security cameras focused on us and followed us. We felt like we were being actively watched at the time, which was really uncomfortable,” she said.
Alexa then goes back to the fake wall that she provided visual evidence to the police.

After chatting with her friends in the apartment revealed through the wrong wall, Alexa spotted a “glass window, a mirror-like thing.”
The latter made it possible, like a smoked glass, to look through the mirror into the tenants’ bathroom from the apartment concealed by the partition wall.

This suggested someone could be watching them using the toilet, the Daily Dot says.
“It’s extremely shocking,” Alexa protested.
After a search, the police confirmed that “there was an entire apartment upstairs and surveillance was taking place upstairs”.
The police asked the guests to leave the premises.
At around 4 a.m., the group packed up.
Alexa also said that while the Airbnb listing appears to be no longer available, her case is still under investigation and she hasn’t received a refund yet.
“If you’re using an Airbnb, be aware of your surroundings,” she concludes.
Numerous Internet users complained about the situation.
“What a terribly scary and violent experience! Airbnb needs to ban her from their website! I’m so glad you called the police.
“That’s why I will never use Airbnb again.”
“Imagine what they could have done.”
