The municipality of Toa Alta will today celebrate a city reception that it will organize on behalf of that city for Dayanara Torres in celebration of her 30th anniversary as Miss Universe, Mayor Clemente “Chito” Agosto reported.
The event takes place in the city’s public square. However, there would be a tour of several areas of the Toa Alta Quarters before the Queen arrives to share with her people.
“It is important for our city to recognize the achievements of our Dayanara Torres, who served as an inspiration and made our city known to the world,” said the mayor.

“Our people will have the opportunity to greet Dayanara on the way through our city and in public places,” he added.
According to a press release, the event will start at 12 noon.
The caravan that will take Dayanara Torres will move along Avenida La Providencia and tour the neighborhoods of the city. The town square, meanwhile, will feature artists Charlie Aponte and Manny Manuel on stage, as well as various artisans, an animal farm, food and the preparation of the agricultural sancocho.
