Tom Brady acquires fractional ownership of WNBA team Las Vegas Aces as the NFL legend expands his portfolio after retiring – he admits his sisters “were by far the best athletes in his house!”

Tom Brady has acquired an interest in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces franchise.

The news was announced in a press release by Raiders owner Mark Davis on Thursday night.

He also owns the city’s WNBA franchise and has sold some of his equity — it’s currently unclear how much — to Brady.

The recently retired seven-time Super Bowl champion was spotted at an Aces game last offseason.

“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” Brady said in the statement.

“My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I played in all my older sisters’ games – they were by far the best athletes in our house!

“We have celebrated their achievements together as a family and they remain a huge inspiration to me.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work the Aces players, staff and WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes.

“To be able to contribute in any way to this mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”

Celebrating the moment, Davis expressed that Brady’s presence is bigger than just his franchise. The Raiders’ longtime owner bought the WNBA franchise from MGM Resorts in January 2021.

“Ever since I bought the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court,” Davis said.

“Tom Brady is not only an asset to the Aces and the WNBA, but to women’s professional sports overall.”

The deal has not yet been ratified and is currently pending approval by the WNBA.
