Tom Brady was in good spirits as he watched Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday night.

Former American football quarterback Tom, 44, considered the greatest NFL player of all time after winning seven Super Bowl rings, was spotted in the stands chatting with a pal while comedian Lee Mack sat in the front row.

Tom, married to 41-year-old model Gisele Bündchen, bundled up warmly in a black coat to watch the game.

On Twitter before the match, he wrote: “Let’s go! @Cristiano vs @HKane. I can pump my fist if you beat Harry, but today I’m going with @ManUtd.”

Tom announced his retirement from college football in February this year after 22 successful seasons.

He played 20 seasons with the New England Patriots before moving to the Glazers-owned Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

Announcing his retirement from the sport earlier this year, he wrote online: “To the Glazer family, thank you for taking the risk and supporting me.

“I know I’ve been demanding at times, but you provided us with everything we needed to win and your property was all a player could ask for.”

His wife Gisele took to Instagram at the time with a message of support, writing: “When I met you over 15 years ago, I knew nothing about football. But rooting for you and seeing you do what you love the most made me learn about this wonderful game to the point where I seriously believed I knew more than the judges!

“We always had a dedicated list of champions for every trip on the way to the game. As a family, we have always prayed for you, celebrated and supported you in every game, rejoiced in every victory and suffered in every defeat.”

Giselle said she is “so proud” of Brady and all that he “had to overcome physically and emotionally over the years.”

“I am in awe of your dedication and everything you have achieved. You love what you do and leave behind a legacy that is a great example for future generations.”
