Tom Hanks’ latest video has his fans worried. In promotion for his latest film, the biopic Elvis, the 65-year-old actor was filmed unable to control a tremor.
Tom Hanks fans are very concerned. The 65-year-old actor hasn’t stopped in recent weeks. In full publicity for the biopic Elvis, in which he plays the king’s manager, he recently aroused the misunderstanding of his admirers. At a conference in the Australian city of Gold Coast Tom Hanks was filmed with his arm shaking, completely unable to control it. “There’s no better place on earth to shoot a movie than here on the Gold Coast,” he said, a microphone in his right hand and his left hand in his pocket. To calm the shaking, Tom Hanks placed his left hand under his right, on top of the microphone. Vain. The video quickly went viral and everyone on social media wondered if the actor was sick.
“I love Tom Hanks. I saw him on screen recently and thought he looked very thin. Hopefully he’s fine”, “He suddenly looks like he’s getting old – he’s lost weight”, “Unfortunately, his deteriorating health could indicate Parkinson’s disease”, “He is diabetic. This is what happens to my mom when she has low blood sugar,” several netizens wrote along with the video. In fact, in 2013, Tom Hanks revealed that he had diabetes. At the time, the Forrest Gump star said, “I went to the doctor and he said, ‘You know those high blood sugars you’ve been dealing with since you were 36? Well you graduated, you have type 2 diabetes young man.” In order to contain the symptoms, the actor therefore changed his life.
Tom Hanks: What he’s changed since he got sick
But it’s not always easy for Tom Hanks. “I belong to the lazy American generation that continued to enjoy the party blindly and now finds itself with an illness. (…) I was a total idiot,” the actor regretted a few years ago. Therefore, in order to manage his illness, the actor decided to follow a specific program. And convincing. “I try to track an hour of activity every day. It can be anything from a treadmill to a walk or hike with a dog, but it has to be an hour every day,” he added. I watch what I eat until I get bored, and every once in a while I cheat until I’m disgusting myself.” Since the release of this disturbing video, Tom Hanks has remained calm.
