Tom Holland will take a year off after the “Test” series The crowded room.
During an interview with Extra, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star revealed that he found the project so difficult to produce that he decided to take a year off.
“It sure was a complicated time,” he told the outlet. “We explored some emotions that I had never felt before. In addition, it was an additional pressure for me as a producer to have to deal with the everyday problems on the film set. »
While the actor insisted he was good at “hard work” and that he “really enjoyed” the experience on The Crowded Room, he said the show “broke him down.”
“Eventually I needed a break and I disappeared, went to Mexico for a week, hung out on the beach and laid back,” he said. “I am now taking a year off and this is the result of this difficult time. I can’t wait to see what it will bring. I feel like our hard work has not been in vain. »
The series is about a man involved in a shooting in New York in 1979. Tom Holland plays Danny Sullivan, a character inspired by “campus rapist” Billy Milligan.
The first three episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 9, followed by a new episode every Friday through July 28.
