The Spider-Man actor recently appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark, where he opened up about his lengthy hiatus. He claimed he didn’t decide to take a break because of the negative reviews for his recent drama series The Crowded Room.

“It’s so funny,” the 27-year-old actor told the presenters. So it was said in the press that I took this year because of the reviews. But I’ve been on my year off for eight months. I’m relaxing at home in London, I’m going to the Grand Prix, I’m playing golf…”

The Uncharted actor then thanked his fans for supporting the miniseries. “I want to say a big thank you to my fans and to the people who watched the show because we’re 94% on Rotten Tomatoes,” he said. I am so thankful to have a wonderful community of people who support me and are there for me. So I’m honored and really looking forward to the release of the rest of the series. »

The series, which has been streaming on Apple TV+ since June 9, currently has a critical rating of 31% versus a viewer rating of 91%. Tom Holland recently announced his break in an interview with Extra. “I’m going to take a year off and that’s because of the difficulty of this series. I’m happy to see how it’s going. I feel like our hard work hasn’t been in vain,” he said previously.

In the series, Tom Holland plays Danny Sullivan, who is arrested for a shocking crime, and stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum and Sasha Lane.
