Tonight a first test for CH’s hopes

The Canadian’s future will be on the ice tonight in Buffalo in the first game of the rookie tournament against the Sabres.

For fans, this is the first chance to see David Reinbacher in action in a Habs jersey.

Laval Rocket head coach Jean-François Houle will be on the bench at the tournament in Buffalo. In a press conference Friday morning, he mentioned that he would divide ice time evenly among all players. Watch his press conference above.

“We will experiment with a few players. The most important thing in a tournament like this is to give everyone a chance.”

The Canadian presents a formation with several good players. In addition to Reinbacher, Logan Mailloux, Joshua Roy and Emil Heineman are particularly worth watching.

“It’s interesting for the organization, it’s fun to have multiple hopefuls at the door. However, they are the ones holding the stick. They may be good on paper, but it’s up to them to get the job done,” Houle said.

Goalkeeper Jakub Dobes will be in front of the Canadian net tonight. Defenseman Jayden Struble joins the team tomorrow in Buffalo. He was detained in Montreal because of “a little mishap.”
