Tony Goes, journalist and screenwriter, dies at the age of 63 in SP | Sao Paulo

The journalist and screenwriter Tony Goes died this Thursday (15) at the age of 63. The information was published by Folha de S. Paulo, a company for which he worked as a columnist.

According to the newspaper, Goes had been treating colon cancer since 2021. In recent weeks the tumor had spread to other organs. As a result of complications from the disease, he suffered liver failure.

The journalist, born in Rio de Janeiro, grew up in the capital São Paulo, where he also lived.

A trained advertising executive, he began working in television, an area in which he specialized, signing comedy series and variety programs, including Vídeo Show, to TV Globo. There is no information yet about the wake and burial.
