Excellent 16-inch OLED panel
Thin, durable and lightweight case

New Acer Swift Edge 16 from 2023 is a success. It is a 16-inch ultraportable, thin, light (1.2 kg), whose workmanship is exemplary and has great sobriety. It has a nice 16-inch OLED panel with 3200 x 2000 pixels, a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and perfect calibration. There’s nothing to complain about when it comes to connectivity, everything is there: two USB-C 4.0 ports, two USB-A 3.2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a jack socket and a microSD card reader.
It also has everything good in terms of performance. Its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U SoC, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a large 1TB SSD hard drive, make it one of the most efficient and versatile Ultrabooks. This model comes standard with up to 9 hours of battery life. If you want a large screen but also want to transport your laptop without worry, this PC is ideal.

Performance for a Chromebook

New Acer Chromebook Plus 514 is an equilibrium model. We can only recommend it to anyone looking for a laptop for under 500 euros. With its 14-inch screen, however, it remains rather compact and light at 1.45 kg. Of course, it is mostly made of plastic, but the chassis of the model is well made.
This device offers what most other Chromebook models lacked: honest performance. In fact, it has an AMD Ryzen 3 7320C CPU accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. It is completely sufficient to operate the also greatly improved Chrome OS. With a 10-hour battery life, a full HD screen and full connectivity, this is an option to consider for those on a budget, especially for students.

Total atmosphere change with the MSI Stealth 14 Studio. This reindeer is aimed at creative people. Its RTX 4070 (albeit somewhat limited to avoid heating) and its Intel Core i7-13700H CPU are designed to support all types of graphics creations, from audio to video to 3D.
MSI has also opted for a small 14-inch format that allows the laptop to remain relatively portable, prioritizing a high-quality magnesium and aluminum alloy chassis. The IPS LCD panel supports a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, i.e. a 16:10 ratio, and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. The autonomy is also decent. In short: For developers who want a machine they can take anywhere, MSI has achieved success.
