AEW star Andrade El Idolo seems to want fans to know he could be done with the company after next Friday night.
Earlier today Andrade retweeted this message from Jose The Assistant:
“You are one of the best wrestlers, I learned a lot working with you. You brought me to #AEW and I will stand by your side no matter what decision you make next.
Thanks for everything Manuel Andrade.”
Last night, AEW announced on Rampage that Andrade El Idolo will risk his career for the mask of Preston “10” Vance. The match came after the two met face to face in a backstage segment.
On Twitter, Andrade responded to a fan who suggested that this was work to possibly get him off TV for a few months like they did at MJF.
Andrade replied: “Soya EL ÍDOLO ANDRADE NO ESE Niño.” Translated, this means: “I’m Andrade El Idolo, not this little boy.”
Another fan said they would pray for 10 to win the match. Andrade replied: “Me too!!”

While it might seem obvious that Andrade wins, it’s worth noting that AEW mentioned that next Friday’s Rampage show is the two-year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s last match, so theoretically Vance should beat Andrade. However, Tony Khan is reportedly not granting releases and if his contract doesn’t expire and he stays, Vance may lose the match. We’ll find out on Friday night. If he leaves AEW, a return to WWE seems likely.
