At 61, Tom Cruise will put on the Maverick costume for the third time: a new film in the saga Top Gun is currently in development at Paramount Studios, Puck Media announced Thursday.
The script for this third film was entrusted to the co-writer of Top Gun: Maverick, Ehren Kruger. According to several American media, director Joseph Kosinski, who signed the second film, is also said to be involved in this new adventure.
The sequel to the 1986 cult film “Top Gun: Maverick” was a huge success in the summer of 2022, grossing more than $1.4 billion at the box office worldwide. Tom Cruise once again took on the role of the talented aircraft pilot alongside young recruits played by Glen Powell and Miles Teller.
