Top-secret UFO meeting in Congress to reveal 'secret' details of illegal crash recovery program – and a US intelligence insider tells what she thinks will really happen behind closed doors

Congress was promised new details this week on last year's shocking allegations of an illegal UFO crash recovery and reverse engineering program.

The allegations, made by former senior U.S. intelligence official David Grusch, accuse both the U.S. military and its defense contractors of blocking evidence of crashed UFOs, recovered “critters” and even UFO-related deaths.

As Americans eagerly await possible new details, a source with direct knowledge of standard operations in the U.S. intelligence community's Office of Inspector General (IC IG) told that the meeting was “just for show.”

“When the IG briefs regulators, his job, between you and me, will be to make them feel like they are getting information,” this source said, “and basically tell them nothing.”

Although some members of the House Oversight Committee suggested last November that they had now been given “permission” to view the classified version of Grusch's official IC-IG complaint, this source said, “I don't expect that to happen.”

Grusch's allegations were first laid out in detail in this secret formal complaint, a “Disclosure of Urgent Concerns.” According to The Debrief, a retaliation complaint was filed with the IC IG office in May 2022.

But last June, Grusch made the unclassified broad outlines of his allegations public in an explosive series of interviews, first with The Debrief, then with cable news network News Nation, and soon after in sworn testimony before the House Oversight Committee.

“As part of my official duties, I was informed of a decades-long UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program,” Grusch told House members last July.

“Based on the data I collected, I made the decision to report this information to my superiors and multiple inspectors general,” Grusch continued under oath, “effectively becoming a whistleblower.”

If he knowingly submitted false material to the IC IG in his formal complaint, Grusch could be subject to a fine of up to $10,000 under Section 1001 of Title 18, United States Penal Code, or, worse, imprisonment for such an offense Expect up to five years (or both).

“Given the significant penalties for making false statements to an inspector general,” former Defense Department official Marik von Rennkampff wrote in The Hill, “it is extremely unlikely that multiple senior, highly qualified officials would falsely claim this.” Myths and rumors first hand.'

But the confidential details of this whistleblower complaint, while disclosed to qualified lawmakers on the House and Senate intelligence committees, have yet to be made available to lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee.

A US intelligence insider told that this was to be expected.

“The bill does not give your committee credit for David.” [Grusch]'s complaint,” this source said. “Supervision, they have nothing to do with Intel.”

“The law provides for HPSCI [the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence] and SSCI [the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence] Knowledge,” this source explained in a telephone interview.

Attorney Daniel Sheehan says whistleblowers with knowledge of a secret UFO

Attorney Daniel Sheehan says whistleblowers with knowledge of a secret UFO “reverse engineering” program chose to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee because of, among other things, their alleged distrust of the Pentagon's special UFO office and its first director Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick. “So this is kind of an internal 'food fight' over Capitol Hill,” said this intelligence community insider. “That’s not really our problem, you know? It’s theirs – and they’re very territorial.”

Nonetheless, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna of Florida told assembled reporters in late November that there were plans for her and other members of the House Oversight Committee to finally review the classified details of Grusch's IC-IG complaint.

“With regard to Grush, I know there were a lot of questions about what happened with his recent IG report,” said Rep. Luna, “and whether or not we were able to get access to that information.”

“We were previously denied this,” Rep. Luna continued, explaining, “We have now received permission directly from him to go back to SCIF to verify this information.”

But while next week's oversight hearing will take place at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), understands that a direct look at Grusch's secret IC is required An IG complaint is unlikely.

“I don’t think much will come of this,” the anonymous IC IG insider told .

“What I expect – and I could be completely wrong – is that you will see these people [House Oversight] Go out into the hallway and give a press conference saying they're mad because they can't get access to it.'

Over the past year, a bipartisan group of Oversight Committee members led by Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee has sought more details on UFOs: Activities included the public hearing last July and a closed-door meeting this fall with representatives the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General.

Representatives Luna and Burchett have joined other lawmakers in the so-called “Congressional UAP Caucus,” based on the more modern technical term for UFOs: Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

However, few from the House Oversight or the UAP Caucus, which includes Representatives Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.), Nancy Mace (RS.C.), Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), Jaimie Raskin (D-Md .) and others have gone into detail about the expected material to be covered in next week's top secret UFO hearing.

In fact, the House oversight committee has issued mixed messages about which day the event will take place, with the office of the Democratic Party's ranking committee member, Rep. Raskin, stating that the hearing will take place on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 – and “ Two known sources told Axios that it will take place on Friday, January 12th.

For his part, Rep. Burchett, through a spokesman, made no mention of plans to review Grusch's secret IC-IG complaint, saying only that “the event, taking place on January 12, 2024, is a secret, members-only meeting with the Inspector General of.” will be.” the Intelligence Community (ICIG), Thomas Monheim.'

“It is open to members of the House Oversight Committee, but if other House members or senators are interested, they can notify the committee and are welcome to participate.”

“David Grusch will not be in attendance,” Rep. Burchett’s spokesman said UFO researcher Douglas Dean Johnson. “We do not currently have a SCIF briefing scheduled with David Grusch, but the UAP caucus continues to push for one.”

Whether it proves significant or not, this week's secret hearing follows months of intense backroom fighting on the Hill over a bipartisan bill formalizing a “controlled disclosure plan” to reveal the U.S. government's alleged long-held UFO secrets would have.

Top lawmakers, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee Marco Rubio and Senate Armed Services Committee member Mike Rounds, led the charge against the amendment – which was ultimately passed by Congress when also in a radically shortened form.

Ohio representative and UFO skeptic Mike Turner told News Nation that the original 64-page bill was “poorly worded” and complained that “no one even brought it up.”

But in an interview on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Grusch called out Turner and accused him of “blocking” the bill on behalf of his sponsor, a defense contractor.

The legislation was originally intended to be modeled on the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, which was passed in response to public debate following Oliver Stone's 1991 film about the daylight assassination of a sitting U.S. president.

According to its former deputy director Thomas Samoluk in 2013, the Confidential Records Review Board established by the JFK Records Act had successfully declassified and declassified five million documents.

But the work of this Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) itself was blocked and remains incomplete, suggesting that even a strongly proposed UFO panel modeled on this panel would have faced similar limitations.

Toward the end of the debate on the Schumer-Rounds UAP amendment, Reps. Luna, Burchett, and others from the UAP Caucus criticized the bill, with Rep. Burchett ultimately proposing an alternative amendment that, oddly enough, was only one page long.

Tennessee Republican Congressman Tim Burchett, who sits on the House Oversight Committee, chaired last summer's public UFO hearing on July 26 – which he said was caused by efforts by the Pentagon and U.S. intelligence agencies to “continually block things.” , was undermined.

According to well-informed US intelligence source , who is well-versed in IC-IG office policies and mandates, the upcoming secret House Oversight hearing is likely to be marred by similar oddities.

“I don’t know what they’re doing,” the source told .

This source believes Attorney Thomas Monheim, the intelligence community's inspector general, will likely be forced to walk a tightrope between satisfying multiple competing congressional committees.

“He is responsible for what he will say to them,” the source said.

“I would be very shocked if they heard the same things as the Intel committees,” the source explained, “not because he didn't want to tell them – because they are Congress – but because HPSCI and SSCI probably told him .”, 'Hey! “We are your jurisdictional committees, not your supervisory bodies.”

The US intelligence community insider suggested that the House UAP Caucus and others interested in transparency about UFOs and “non-human intelligence agencies” would be better served by turning their attention to lawmakers on these intelligence committees.

'David [Grusch] “Informed HPSCI and SSCI because the law allowed him to do so,” the source told

“David spent hours and hours and hours and hours at SSCI,” the source said. “And then hours and hours and hours and hours of HPSCI.”

“All the employees he informed all had TS/SCI clearance.” They all had to have separate scans. It was a big deal.'

'It is not [House] Oversight that's going to accomplish something, you know? It's: “What does SSCI do?” and “What does HPSCI do?” said the Intel insider.

“Who will withstand the fire?”

This story has been amended to include additional information about the proposed date of next week's secret hearing on the House Oversight UAP.

The world's UFO hotspots are revealed – the Pentagon admits hundreds of objects have been spotted 'all over the world'

The US government is notoriously secretive when it comes to sharing its knowledge of extraterrestrial life.

But in a possible bid for transparency, the Defense Department has released a new document disclosing the “UFO hotspots of the world.”

It includes a map showing where most sightings of unknown objects have been recorded, based on reports between 1996 and 2023.
