A teenager was shot and injured in a shooting outside a Toronto high school Thursday afternoon.

The 15-year-old victim was shot in the chest by a group of men who approached him in a vehicle, according to local media CP24.

“After I was hit [l’adolescent] back to school where he was supported by staff. The victim was later transported to a hospital center where he is currently in intensive care,” detective Ryan Forde said to a press crowd.

When the police arrived, the school was immediately evacuated. Several concerned parents came to the scene hoping to find their children while awaiting the release of their detention.
