In the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, the Chemin de Bolton Center between 1er Rang and Route 245 has become impassable.

A driver also left the road ahead of the flooded road, but fortunately remained uninjured.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is not currently talking about evacuations as people have fled to safety.

“We did not evacuate,” SQ spokesman Camille Savoie said, adding that the community was asked to close the flooded road.

In the township community of Potton, firefighters rescued several people, some of whom were camping near the Chemin du Mimosa.

Chemin de l’Étang near Chemin West Hill partially collapsed, causing a crack in the pavement, while Route 243 was closed near Chemin de la Mine.
