The National Weather Service warned the public not to cross flooded roads as residents and visitors try to deal with the fallout from the rainfall.

Although one driver was rescued from his car and several others abandoned their vehicles, a city spokesman said there were no reports of any major incidents.

Flood warnings on Saturday were expanded from Nevada to southwestern Utah, northwestern Arizona and northeastern California.

The likelihood of additional strong thunderstorms could lead to more flash flooding and excessive runoff, the National Weather Service warned.
