Tour in November: In France, admirers of the Cowboys Fringants are hoping

With solidarity and patience, the unconditional fans of the Cowboys Fringants in France hope that the health of singer Karl Tremblay will allow the group to keep their concert dates at home in early November.

Between November 2nd and 10th, the Cowboys Fringants have six concerts on the program in Paris (at the Zénith), Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Lyon.

The record company La Tribu says it is not disclosing any information at the moment, but given the cancellations and postponements due to chemotherapy that marked the group’s last summer in Quebec, can we maintain this schedule?

Bruno Cadoret, who founded a Cowboys Fringants fan club in France, kept his fingers crossed and assured that the singer’s health “comes first.”

“If we have to wait until 2024, we will wait until the great Karl is in better shape,” he said in an exchange with Le Journal.

Ambivalent

The same story applies to Cédric Laugère, a long-time admirer of the group.

“The feelings are quite ambivalent,” he admits. I have, certainly a little selfishly, the wish to see them in November as announced, but I also fear that such a trip could be tiring for Karl, despite the strength that he knows how to show at each of the concerts that sustain can be . »

Will the concerts ever be postponed? “I wouldn’t mind Les Trois Accords visiting us to help us wait,” says Mr. Laugère.

Support

Surprised and devastated when Karl Tremblay announced he was suffering from prostate cancer, French admirers of Cowboys Fringants are planning to show their support for the singer during concerts in the summer of 2022, if they take place.

“We talk about supporting him by wearing a shirt, tie and hat like Karl. The slogan “Together with Karl against cancer” will be visible on the shirt pocket,” reveals Bruno Cadoret.

On their last European tour, the group from Quebec triumphed in front of 10,000 spectators at the Accor Arena in Paris. Further concerts on European soil have also been announced for spring 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, as well as in Strasbourg, Lille, Dijon and Rouen in France.
