The footage is believed to have been filmed on Las Gaviotas Beach in the city of Mazatlán in the northwestern Mexican state of Sinaloa.

But when he reaches a height of about 16 feet, his leash suddenly breaks.
This leaves the man, who is not named, briefly suspended in the air, arms and legs flailing, before he quickly picks up speed and crashes onto the beach.
He then slams into the water up to his ankles, creating a large splash. He was reportedly hospitalized with multiple fractures as a result of the incident.
The area is popular with tourists in particular for its beaches with resorts, and paragliding from the beach is one of the many activities on offer.
