EXCLUSIVE: TOWIE star Harry Derbidge joins Bianca Gascoigne on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Harry Derbidge has signed up for the upcoming series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Web can reveal.

The 29-year-old TOWIE star will be taking part in Channel 4’s grueling show, filming in New Zealand this month, and has ambitions to complete this physically demanding challenge.

He joins reality TV personality Bianca Gascoigne, 36, in the lineup of stars looking to leave their lives of luxury behind and push themselves to the limit during the intense process.

A TV source told Web that Harry, who was just 16 when he first rose to fame on the ITVBe series, is hoping to face his demons while he is being watched by Billy Billingham, Jason Fox, US Navy Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver being mentally tested.

“Harry is determined to prove people wrong,” said an insider. “He obviously loves his glamorous life, but that doesn’t mean he won’t do whatever it takes to get up front on the show.”

Harry first met TOWIE through his cousin Amy Childs, becoming the show’s first openly gay cast member.

The makeup artist has enjoyed various appearances on the show but can still call himself a “TOWIE Original”.

In 2012, he launched a unisex jewelry line called Love Lemonade with Amy, and has since boosted his bank balance by releasing a line of lashes and eyeliner through his beauty company, Beauty Brave.

He currently loves being uncle to Amy’s newborn twins who will make their first appearance on TOWIE in this series as the cast of the latest installment on Cyprus.

Amy, who is also mother to daughter Polly and son Ritchie, gave birth to the twins in April after becoming pregnant with boyfriend Billy Delbosq.

During the final season, Harry began dating his co-star Junaid Ahmed after the two considered taking their friendship to the next level.

They concluded that their relationship would not work out on a romantic level, and Harry told his family that he only considered Junaid a close friend.

Harry previously dated his former co-star Bobby Norris and was also engaged to his ex-boyfriend Dean Rowland before they split last October.

In March, Harry shared a picture of himself taken 13 years ago, along with a photo of his body today, while discussing his eating disorder.

The TV star recalled feeling tired and lethargic as she battled the disease, but told followers he’s now healthier than ever and proud of his figure.

He said, “If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I struggled with an eating disorder as a child and I’m so grateful to say that with the help of my family and loved ones, I overcame it.”

“I’m the healthiest person I’ve ever been.” 13 years ago, I had no energy, had trouble eating, and hated wearing clothes. 16 year old Harry would be so proud of how far I’ve come.’

In May it was announced that Channel 4 would be retiring SAS: Who Dares Wins after eight series after launching in 2015.

The show’s celebrity spin-off will continue, but the civilian version has been fired as the network reportedly reviews many of its long-running shows.
