Trailer for the second season of the series “Bridgerton”

The chemistry of Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley in the Bridgerton trailer is all I want to talk about.

I think it’s safe to say that March 2022 is reserved for one thing and one thing only: the second season of Bridgerton.

After what seems like an eternity between seasons, Bridgerton is finally back with a new season on March 25, and I can only assume that’s all we’ll be talking about in the coming weeks.

And today Netflix released a brand new trailer for the new season, so I need you to drop everything and watch it:

Based on Julie Quinn’s second book, The Viscount Who Loved Me, season two follows Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) as he tries to find his perfect match. His search leads him to the Sharma family, and although he shows interest in Edwina (Charitra Chandran), he must first get the approval of her protective sister, Kate (Simon Ashley).

The new season will also pick up after the events of the first season finale, namely we learn that Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is Lady Whistledown.

The trailer perfectly showcases Anthony and Kate’s romance between enemies and would-be lovers, and I’ll be reflecting on that for the foreseeable future.

And to add to Anthony and Kate’s perfect sexual tension, we can take a look at the iconic Bridgerton family game at Pall Mall from The Viscount Who Loved Me in the trailer.

Bridgerton also knows what he’s doing, giving us a Pride and Prejudice-like moment of hand between Anthony and Kate. To be honest, I’m still recovering from the hands between Simon and Daphne from the first season.

I just want to chat about the incredible chemistry between Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley for the foreseeable future because oh my god it was just a trailer and I’m already sick.

Not only will Anthony’s love life be the focus of this season, Season 2 will also go into more detail about Edmund Bridgerton’s death and how deeply it affected Anthony.

In addition to Anthony, we will also see Daphne and her son, Penelope and Colin (POLIN, MY HEART), Eloise and all of our other beloved members of the Bridgerton family.

And it looks like Queen Charlotte decided it was time to put an end to Lady Whistledown, and perhaps she got too close to Penelope’s secret.

Basically, I’ll be watching this trailer in circles until Season 2 hits Netflix later this month. I’m so excited to see Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley win everyone’s hearts as Anthony and Kate. This is my favorite Bridgerton book and I’m ready to see Shondaland bring it to life.

The second season of Bridgerton premieres on Netflix on March 25.
