César Tralli and Rodrigo Bocardi have been ruled out as possible substitutes for William Bonner on the bench by Jornal Nacional on Globo
Cesar Tralli and Rodrigo Bocardi were some of the most frequently cited names to be replaced William Bonner on the bank of the Jornal Nacional when the anchor pulls back. Globo’s journalists are “halfway” to taking over the news, but even then they are marginalized by the channel.
According to A Tarde é Sua’s Alessandro LoBianco, the platinum company plans to revamp all kiosks after Bonner leaves the staff, which could happen in 2023 after the president’s inauguration.
“It’s not just about money, it’s about identity renewal. It’s an integrated change of bench for all TV news, from those who will be sitting there for a long time now,” LoBianco said.
The source indicated that the biggest challenge with the contract extension will be managing names that are not from an old generation, such as César Tralli and Rodrigo Bocardi. Weekend rotations to review new names in the Jornal Nacional resume, and thus new anchors of the JN are selected.
WHAT REMAINS?
The moderators of “Jornal Hoje” and “Bom Dia SP” may be correspondents again, but they are unlikely to take the posts. Another role they could play would be at GloboNews, which is unlikely to happen, making it increasingly difficult to consider these renowned journalists in a new position after the benches’ refurbishment.
