The city of Quebec is once again in seduction mode as the new Info-Tramway station opened at a neighborhood party on Saturday.
The detachable information kiosk was located on the rue du Campanile in the Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge district on that first day.

Throughout the summer, this information station, which changes from event to event, answers questions from citizens, explains the project and dispels the myths surrounding the tram project.
This initiative replaces the bus that has circulated around the city for the same purpose in recent years.

“The train station allows for much more flexibility. The bus made it difficult to get around the neighborhood parties and pedestrian streets. Even if Mother Nature isn’t on our side now, we can bring the train station inside,” stresses Maude Mercier Larouche, member of the executive committee responsible for relations with citizens.

During the summer, information officers will travel to all corners of the city to answer citizens’ questions. This new formula will cost around $90,000 in total.
Currently, Maude Mercier Larouche confirmed that 30 outings are planned for the summer season, but that more may be added to allow for “maximum interaction with people”.
“It will not only be on the tram route. The goal is to achieve social acceptance everywhere in the city,” she specified.
