A transgender woman accused of killing her father allegedly told police she hit him in the head with a hammer before stabbing him and her sister to death.
Nikki Secondino, 22, has been arrested and charged with the murder of her father Carlo, 61, and attempted murder of her 19-year-old sister Liana, who is in critical condition.
Sources told the New York Post that Secondindo confessed to the stabbing at her family’s Brooklyn home and said she also killed the neighbor who called 911.
“My dad was sitting on the couch,” she reportedly told police. “I hit him in the head with a hammer. Then I grabbed my favorite German knife and stabbed his shit.
“My sister came out and tried to stop me and I stabbed her in the back, head and stomach,” Nikki reportedly added. “I wanted her dead.”
The alleged confession comes from a 2020 interview in which Secondino opened up about coming out as a trans woman to her divorced parents and described her father as “very Italian” and “very religious.”

Police initially suspected the stabbing incident was linked to a home invasion, but reports suggested Secondino may have fabricated the story to cover up the crime.
Carlo was pronounced dead at the scene and his other daughter was taken to Maimonides Medical Center just days before her 20th birthday.
The family appeared to be in serious turmoil, with records showing that the Secondino attempted to secure a temporary protective order against her father and sister in July, according to the Post.
The order appeared to be the result of a July 15 incident in which police were called to the Brooklyn residence when Secondino claimed her father was in the mob and threatened to kill her.
Two days later, Liana was charged with assault and criminal mischief for allegedly cutting Nikki’s hand and ripping down blinds.
Although officers did not believe Carlo had any ties to the mob, records show that a judge signed the protective order.
It was also revealed that Secondino obtained a restraining order against her father and sister in July

A resurfaced 2020 interview details Secondino’s struggles, which are revealed to her family
Another look into the family’s past revealed a two-year-old interview Secondino conducted with a YouTube channel focused on supporting trans people.
In the video, Secondino described her father as a traditional Italian man who wanted nothing to do with her transition to a woman.
“My father was speechless,” she said. “He didn’t know what to say. My mother didn’t know what to say and it really wasn’t being talked about at the time.
“My parents were very religious. Like we went to church every Sunday and stuff,” she added.
Secondino also recalled an early childhood incident when she refused to wear boy’s swim trunks despite her mother’s objections.
‘She made me … put a boy in swimming trunks,’ said Secondino, ‘and I had a total breakdown. I just cried, screamed.’

Secondino suffered lacerations on his hands and was taken to hospital in stable condition
Secondino initially tried to cover up the alleged crime as a home invasion and called 911 to report a burglary
It was originally reported that two male robbers broke into the home on 17th Avenue around 6 a.m. and demanded money from a safe, according to police, before attacking the family of three and fleeing on foot.
However, the police now assume that Secondino was responsible for the attack.
Secondino suffered lacerations on his hands and was hospitalized in a stable condition.
Neighbors described a terrible scene: “I heard wrestling, fighting,” said the neighbor. “I heard the father. He begged me: ‘Please call the police!’ … The front of his chest was saturated red, like he was wearing a red vest,” a neighbor told the New York Daily News.
Another woman described Secondino banging on her door to get in.
”Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Open the door!” she remembered her scream. “I saw the blood in the hallway so I immediately closed my door and didn’t want to get involved.”
“He was just like he was lying there. His head was turned towards the window, the kitchen window. He was lying face up on his back,” the neighbor recalled.
“Every time they argued, there was a bang. Since the walls are just sheetrock I would hear everything.”
