Transgender oil heiress Nats Getty lashed out at Caitlyn Jenner for her stance on trans-athletes competing in sports and advised the former reality TV star to “come talk to me,” insisting “sport is for everyone.”
The 29-year-old, who came out as transgender last year, posted a series of photos on Instagram of him raising his middle finger to the camera, sipping beer and lifting weights, adding in an accompanying caption that “transgender people can be in a fucking sport” and take aim at the 72-year-old Jenner.
Getty, who is the great-grandson of oil magnate J. Paul Getty, appeared to take offense at Jenner’s comments about Penn transgender swimmer Leah Thomas, 22, who became the first transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division 1 title last month.
Jenner subsequently criticized the NCAA for “not being rigid enough” in its rules, adding that Thomas was not the “rightful holder” of her title, instead naming 20-year-old runner-up Emma Veyant as the real winner of the women’s 500-yard run. freestyle event.

Replying to a tweet from Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who also refused to acknowledge Thomas’ victory, Jenner declared: ‘[Emma] is the rightful winner!
‘It’s not transphobic or anti-trans, it’s COMMON SENSE!’

Weeks earlier, Jenner also said its ‘just not fair’ to allow biological boys to compete in women’s sports.
Jenner, who came out as a trans woman in 2015 and was previously named Bruce, won a gold medal and set a world record in the men’s decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games.
Getty’s public call out of Jenner came just days after he warned about the ‘undeniably scary climate’ that the LGBTQ community is currently living in.
Speaking out on Transgender Day of Visibility, Getty urged LGBTQ people to ‘stand tall, proud, and visibly’.
‘The current climate for lgbtq people is undeniably scary,’ he wrote. ‘Today is Transgender Day of Visibility and it is more important now then ever to stand tall, proud, and VISIBLY. We cannot be silenced when we stand and speak loudly as one.
‘Last year over 375 trans people were killed simply for being THEMSELVES. Hate crimes against trans people happen constantly. Trans rights are being stripped away from people who are simply living their authentic lives.
‘Things must change this cannot continue. Protect trans rights, protect trans people, protect trans kids. BE VISIBLE & BE PROUD. To my trans sisters & brothers I love you and stand with you.’

Getty – who is married to transgender influencer Gigi Gorgeous – came out as transgender and non-binary in January 2021 after undergoing top surgery to remove his breast tissue as part of his physical transition.
He detailed the ’emotional and exciting’ decision in an Instagram post, writing: ‘I have spent my entire life not in sync with the body I was born with and confined by an outwardly appearance that did not match my mind or soul.
‘It wasn’t until recently that I was even comfortable admitting this to myself, once I was able to look inwards and truly reflect on my authentic self.’
Getty explained the decision to undergo top surgery, describing the procedure as the start of the physical transition.
‘This surgery is something I have wanted for years and I can’t believe I will finally have the chest I have always dreamed of,’ Getty said.
The socialite acknowledged that it was a ‘privilege that I’m even able to move forward with this when for many it’s an impossible option due to their circumstance.
‘It’s not lost on me the many people who are having to navigate this alone and in silence.’

The couple tied the knot at Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, California, on July 12, 2019, in front of 220 friends and family members
Getty said the ‘physical transition is new, so I’m taking my time to discover my most authentic self and which pronouns best suit me.
‘But for now, I know one thing is for certain I am Nats. To my trans brothers and sisters and non-binary family: I am here for you, I am here with you, and I love you.’
He later used the pronouns he/him in an interview with Paper magazine.
After Getty came out, Gorgeous shared a photo of herself with her spouse on her own Instagram page as a show of support, writing: ‘Can’t even begin to express how happy, proud and in awe I am of you, Nats.’
She also posted a video on her YouTube page documenting Getty undergoing top surgery in San Francisco.
Three months later, Gorgeous revealed she is pansexual while coming out ‘for the fourth time.’ She credited her spouse for helping her better understand her sexual orientation and gender identity journey.
‘I came out as gay before I transitioned. I came out as transgender and then I came out as gay again,’ she explained in the video shared on her YouTube channel.
Last month, Getty marked Transgender Day of Visibility by sharing images of his top surgery scars, while warning that ‘the current climate for LGBTQ people is undeniably scary’
‘Trans rights are being stripped away from people who are simply living their authentic lives. Things must change this cannot continue,’ he wrote
Getty initially came out as non-binary, before changing his pronouns to ‘he/him’
‘Honestly, those are some of, if not my best, favorite memories. Searching deep within myself, finding out something different and putting a label on it.’
‘Since then, I have gotten married to that same person, who has since transitioned,’ she said of Getty. ‘It was actually through my husband Nats that this kind of was unlocked inside of me.’
Gorgeous noted that she fell in love with Getty because of who he is as a person, not his gender. She then announced she is pansexual, saying she sees it as ‘falling in love with the soul of somebody.’
Getty’s maternal great-grandfather, oil magnate J. Paul Getty, was the richest man in the world before he died in 1976 with an estimated wealth of between $700 million and $1 billion at the time.
He and his brother August Getty were raised by their parents Ariadne Getty and Justin Williams in Los Angeles. Their parents divorced in 2005.

Getty’s mother, Ariadne Getty (pictured with her children and Gorgeous in 2018) was incredibly supportive of his decision to come out
The siblings were raised with their actor father’s surname. Their mother told Town & Country magazine that she wanted ‘them to grow up without the weight of the name.’
They didn’t even know they were Gettys until about 2000 after their parents split and they briefly moved with their mother to the UK.
It is not clear when Getty and his fashion designer brother started using their mother’s surname,
The Gettys have managed to maintain a significant share of the family fortune, but the money has not shielded subsequent generations from drug addiction, premature death, tabloid scandal, and violent attacks.
The long line of tragedies that have plagued the family has led some to think there is a ‘Getty curse.’
Getty’s uncle John Paul Getty III, was sensationally kidnapped for ransom as a teenager in 1973. The terrifying tale was brought to the big screen by Ridley Scott in the film ‘All the Money in the World.’

He was just 16 years old and living in Italy when members of the Italian mafia grabbed him off the street on July 10, 1973, as he returned home from a night out with friends.
He was thrown in the back of the van and taken 300 miles south to the mountains of Calabria, with his captors soon informing the teenager’s family that the boy would be safely returned after they paid a $17 million ransom.
His oil tycoon grandfather refused to pay the ransom, telling reporters at the time: ‘If I pay one penny now, I’ll have 14 kidnapped grandchildren.’
The family patriarch only agreed to pay a negotiated amount after the kidnappers cut off John Paul Getty III’s ear and mailed it to his family.
John Paul Getty III was finally released after four months in captivity. He later suffered a debilitating stroke that paralyzed him. He died in 2011 at the age of 54.
In November 2020, Getty’s uncle John Gilbert Getty was found unresponsive in a hotel room in San Antonio, Texas. It was later determined that he had died from complications of an accidental fentanyl overdose.
TRAGIC HISTORY OF THE GETTY FAMILY ‘CURSE’
ABDUCTION DRAMA: John Paul Getty III, the grandson of the family patriarch, was sensationally kidnapped in Rome in 1973, at age 16.
When his notoriously tight-fisted grandfather refused to pay ransom, the abductors cut off the boy’s ear and mailed it to his family. Getty eventually relented and paid a $3 million ransom.
The teenager survived but began using drugs and suffered a debilitating stroke in his 20s. He died aged 54.
CHILD DEATH: The oil baron’s youngest child, Timothy Ware Getty, suffered a brain tumor at age six and died at age 12 in 1958.
Getty’s then-wife Teddy, a former nightclub singer, later wrote in a memoir that the tycoon had admonished her over the boy’s expensive medical bills.
They divorced soon after Timothy’s death, but Teddy lived until 2017 when she died at age 103. Another of Getty’s sons, George, died in a suspected suicide in 1973.
HEROIN DEATH: Talitha Pol, a Dutch actress who married J. Paul Getty Jr. in 1966, died of a heroin overdose five years later in 1971.
Pol had lived her own jet-setting life and was the subject of a famous photo with her husband on a Marrakech rooftop in 1969.
SECOND FAMILY: Gordon Getty had his own brush with scandal in 1999 when the father of four sons with his wife, Ann, acknowledged he had a second family in Los Angeles that included three daughters.
The acknowledgement came after the daughters filed court papers to change their last names to Getty.
FOUND DEAD AT HOME: Andrew Getty, another grandson of the oil tycoon, was found dead by his girlfriend at his Hollywood Hills mansion in 2015. He was 47.
Coroners found he had died of an accidental intestinal hemorrhage and also had a toxic level of methamphetamine in his system.
HOTEL ROOM DEATH: John Gilbert Getty, another grandson of the oil tycoon, was found unresponsive in a hotel room in San Antonio, Texas, in November 2020.
It was later determined that he had died from complications of an accidental fentanyl overdose.
