The team of experts at online travel comparison site Omio has named a Spanish city one of the “cheapest” destinations in Europe for a December holiday. This is the city of Seville in Andalusia. The Sun tells us in more detail this Friday, December 15th.

Seville, in southern Spain, is a fantastic winter destination for tourists who don't like cold and gray weather. In December, temperatures are around 17°C, so you don't need to bring a thick winter coat.
In fact, this time of year is one of the best times to explore this pretty Spanish city. In summer temperatures in this region can rise to over 40°C.
Although Seville is not known for its end-of-year celebrations, the city offers an impressive light display on its main streets. There are also several Christmas markets where tourists can buy traditional Spanish treats.
On New Year's Eve, it is a Spanish tradition to eat 12 grapes promptly at midnight to bring good luck in the New Year.

Seville is the birthplace of tapas. These typical Spanish appetizers, which can be enjoyed hot or cold, are on the menu of almost all bars and restaurants.
That's a good thing, because in December visitors can enjoy Seville's many dining options without having to wait in line. The Andalusian city was also recently named the “most pedestrian-friendly” city in Europe, according to a study by the Preply team.
Tourists can easily explore the city on foot, moving between major attractions such as the Plaza de España and the Cathedral. You can also book a spot at one of the city's famous Arabic baths for a candlelit spa experience.
