Travis Barker revealed he had dental surgery and suffered pain while battling Covid: Bang Showbiz
Travis Barker underwent strenuous dental surgery and suffered from chronic pain in the fight against Covid.
The 47-year-old Blink 182 drummer was struck down by coronavirus after the group’s performances in Europe were postponed earlier this month as he rushed home to be by his wife Kourtney Kardashian’s side as she underwent emergency surgery subjected her unborn child.
Now he told XFans about Kourtney’s dental problems following Kourtney’s scare:
“Last week I also had Covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia and a root canal. That means I can handle pretty much anything God throws at me.”
Trigen neuralgia causes agonizing sensations similar to an electric shock on one side of the face.
Travis announced on September 23 that he had tested positive for Covid, but did not disclose at the time that he was also suffering from mouth pain.
He received his diagnosis the same weekend he and 44-year-old Kourtney celebrated their lavish baby shower.
Travis also tested positive for the coronavirus in 2022, two months after he was hospitalized with severe and life-threatening pancreatitis.
Blink 182, which also includes members Tom DeLonge, 47, and Mark Hoppus, 51, will perform at the Altice Arena in Portugal on Monday.
Travis told his fans on X after his wife Kourtney, 44, underwent emergency surgery for their unborn child:
“I flew home for life-threatening emergency surgery on our baby and I’m so thankful it went well.”
He also thanked his fans for their support before noting that Blink 182’s tour would resume soon, concluding his message with “God is great.”
The band, releasing their first full-length album since 2011, recently reunited to reflect on the numerous “disasters” they experienced in their personal lives before ultimately reuniting.

Mark revealed in 2021 that he was battling cancer and is currently in remission.
Travis and Kourtney married in May 2022, and in June of this year she announced that she was expecting her first child with her husband while he was performing with his band, holding a sign that read, “Travis, I’m pregnant.”
In the same month, the couple announced they were having a baby.
Kourtney also has children Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight, with her reality star Scott Disick, 40.
