NFL football star Travis Kelce said he learns from Taylor Swift “every day” as his new romance with the pop icon shot him to fame.
“I’ve never been a man of my words,” the 34yearold Kansas City Chiefs player told the Wall Street Journal. Now he’s dating one of the most influential songwriters in the business, a woman described by a high school professor as a “literary giant.” Shakespeare in an Australian newspaper.
“It’s great to be around her and see how smart Taylor is. I’m learning something new every day.” This also includes how he deals with the enormous pressure of fame. It’s important to note that Kelce was famous before he met Swift, but the Journal considers him “football famous.”
How did he meet Taylor Swift?
The meeting took place in July and was the first contact between the two, although he was clear about what he wanted: to get her attention. “There were definitely some of his friends who knew who I was. Someone on his side asked, ‘Hey, do you know who’s coming?’ “I asked someone to play cupid for me,” Travis remembers.
Taylor’s appearance in two of Kelce’s games sent television ratings skyrocketing and sales of his jersey increased 400 percent. Recent trends on social media have Swift fans (i.e. everyone) enjoying reading Kelce’s old tweets. “Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that aura… I’ve never dealt with it,” Kelce told the Journal.
“She has a lot of values, she’s totally my thing,” the player concluded about the singer.
