While we *already* knew that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had a midnight smooch on New Year's Eve (swoon, aww, etc.), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end dropped new details about the couple's celebratory evening in his latest episode Podcast, New Heights, Page Six reports.
“It was fun,” Travis said of the Chiefs' New Year's Eve game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where both his girlfriend Taylor and his mother Donna Kelce were in attendance to cheer on the team. “And then we were all able to celebrate New Year’s Eve together. It was cool to have all the friends and family there. I think I had over 50, 55 people come out for the occasion.”
Kelce and ~his girls~ reportedly celebrated with teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife (slash Tay's best friend) Brittany at the American Restaurant in KC. The couple was even caught on camera kissing around midnight.
Fans flooded the comments section to rave about Swift and Kelce. “They're getting married this year,” one user wrote, while another chimed in and wrote, “I hope Taylor found her true love this time.”
“OMG they're in love,” a third person wrote.
If there was ever any doubt about how serious the couple had become, then the holiday season certainly cleared that up. Taylor was spotted in Travis' suite with her mother, father, brother and Kelce's father Ed at the team's Christmas game against the Raiders.
And while we don't know *exactly* when they first met, Taylor had previously spent a lot of time with Donna and Ed Kelce. In fact, Ed praised Swift as a “very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman” whose intelligence “comes through immediately.”
“We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room she gets up to get a drink or something and she starts collecting empty bottles and cans and plates that are lying around,” he continued to the outlet. “And I think, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to do it. And that really said a lot to me.”
Meanwhile, mom Kelce described Travis as “happier than.” [she has] I've been seeing him for a long time,” adding that Swift is “a very, very nice person.”
