Kelce and Swift made headlines for their whirlwind love story after the pop superstar attended one of his games at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time in September.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker has since attended four Kansas City Chiefs games and the couple first made their relationship public on a date night in New York City.

However, during his interview with Moehringer, Kelce spoke for the first time about developments in his love life.

Kelce revealed that someone from Swift’s team helped set it up after he revealed his failed attempt to give her his number after an Eras show in Kansas City.

“There were definitely people she knew who knew who I was in her corner.” [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? “I had someone play Cupid,” Kelce said.

It didn’t take long for them to set up a first date, but even Kelce, who usually exudes confidence on the football field, was nervous.

Kelce describes the setup as follows: “Everyone around me tells me, ‘Don’t mess this up,’ and I sit here and say, ‘Yeah, got it.'”

“When I met her in New York, we had already kind of talked, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and a conversation, so to speak, and whatever happens from there will continue from there.”

He said he was afraid of making a misstep at the time: “That was the biggest thing for me: Make sure I don’t say anything that might alienate Taylor.”

But they clearly hit it off, and Kelce describes Swift as “hilarious” and a “genius.”
