Things are going all too well for the NFL as Travis Kelce’s rumored romance with Taylor Swift continues to heat up.
The mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Donna Kelce has spoken out about wanting the league to capitalize on her son’s love life.
“The NFL is laughing all the way to the bank,” Donna said on the “Got It From My Momma” podcast on Friday. “Good for them. They feel the consequences of everything.”
Since the “Blank Space” singer’s first performance on Sept. 24 at Arrowhead Stadium — where she sat in a suite with Donna — NFL viewership has reached new heights.
That proved to be the case last week when the 33-year-old 12-time Grammy winner attended the Chiefs’ game against the Jets on October 1 with a star-studded group of high-profile friends including Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Blake Lively . and Sophie Turner.
The game’s viewership averaged 27 million viewers, making it the second most-watched game this year since the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile, Travis, 33, saw a staggering 400% increase in sales of his No. 87 Chiefs jersey.
“I can tell you that they have told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could have paid a million dollars to a PR firm,” said Donna, also a Philadelphia Eagles parent is center Jason Kelce.
“It’s simply because we can identify with each other. We’re just normal. We are authentic. We are authentic, we don’t give up on ourselves and we don’t try to be someone we’re not.”

When asked if Swifties would watch her son’s games, Donna said they probably “know more about football than half the people watching football right now.”
“I had a dad who messaged me directly and said, ‘Finally I can – finally my daughter watches football with me,’” Donna remembers.
Elsewhere, Donna shared that so much publicity has been following her and her sons since Swift started attending games.

“I feel like I’m in an alternate universe because it’s something I’ve never dealt with before,” she said on the podcast, adding that the last few weeks have been a “whirlwind.”
“I thought it was over at that point, but it just seems to keep going and every week seems to trump the week before,” she added. “So it’s really kind of wild, a wild ride.”
It comes as Travis and Kelce discuss the NFL’s coverage of Swift’s new interest in football, with the Catching Kelce star admitting that even he thinks it’s too much.

“They’re certainly overdoing it a little bit, especially in my situation,” Travis said on their “New Heights” podcast when asked by Jason about the coverage. “They just try to have fun with it.”
During the Chiefs’ 23-20 win Sunday night against the Jets, NBC showed Swift 17 times in the suite at MetLife Stadium.
“Damn, this is crazy,” Travis said. “It’s like taking a car ride. Mom told me everyone had fun.”
“They’re not there to be shown on TV,” Travis continued. “You never know you’re going to get caught throwing a big ol’ cheeseburger and looking like an idiot. There are certain things you just don’t want to see on TV all the time.”
