No. 10: He can handle the pressure
Not only has Travis been to three Super Bowls and won two of them (NBD!), but he's also hosted Saturday Night Live, so you know he can handle intense spotlight with ease.
This may seem trivial, but Taylor has written several songs in which she addresses her fear that her notoriety might be too much for her romantic partner. (See: “Peace” and “The Archer.”)
“It all depends on who you’re with,” Taylor said. “If they have a serious problem with it, you'll probably hide or whatever, but I don't really like that because it makes me feel like, 'I'm running from the law or something.' I don't want to feel like a refugee and be like, “Oh my God, we're in a relationship, you better hide!”
“I feel like it would be good if you were in a relationship and everything seemed normal.”
And in his WSJ interview, Travis proved that he's more than capable of handling the pressure that comes with dating someone as powerful as Taylor.
“Obviously I've never dated someone who had that kind of charisma…I've never dealt with it,” he said. “But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it.”
“The scrutiny she receives, how much magnifying glass she has on herself every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she just lives and enjoys it life,” he added. “If she’s acting like that, I better not be the one acting weird.”
