Pitcher Trevor Bauer, considered undesirable in major league baseball, is now playing in Japan.
An action by the 32-year-old athlete after a strikeout was deemed disrespectful by one of his Yokohama Baystars teammates.

In performing this feat, Bauer mimicked the action of sheathing a sword as he did in the big leagues.
Recently, the Baystars released a video of the shooter encouraging fans to do the same when passing a rival with the gauntlet, which assistant Yasuaki Yamasaki really didn’t like.
“Don’t be fools. It’s disrespectful. There are better ways to celebrate,” he wrote in a comment below his team’s post.
Last March, Bauer signed a one-year contract with the Japanese team after being ignored by all major league baseball teams.
The California native was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this year after allegations of sexual assault.
However, Bauer’s last major league game was on June 28, 2021. Three days later, he was suspended from Major League Baseball for 326 games after a woman accused him of rape.
The sentence was later reduced to 194 games and the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue the allegations against the athlete. However, two other Ohio women in turn blamed Bauer for his abusive behavior.
In Japan, the 2020 Cy-Young Trophy winner has yet to make his debut with the Baystars. He did play two games in the minors, however, where he averaged a 2.25 ERA in 16 innings.
