To maintain excitement and surprise about the cast of BBB 24, Globo plans to announce the names that will appear on the mostwatched house in the country just three days before the premiere. Although the broadcaster neither confirms nor denies this, the big day has already been confirmed: it will take place on January 5th, a Friday.
The entire production and sales department is working to make the announcement possible that day. And like the last editions, the names will be announced throughout the Globo program, starting during the breaks of Encontro com Patrícia Poeta.
The idea is daring and Globo risks failure by shortening the time between the big day and the premiere, scheduled for January 8th. For BBB 23, the cast names were announced on Thursday, January 12, and the premiere took place four days later.
At this point, all members of Camarote had already leaked information on social media, but Globo's top management concluded that the strategy produced positive results. Thus, the management of the program was given a free hand to delay the advertisement for another day.
The 24th edition of the Globo reality show premieres on the first working Monday of the year. And the mostwatched lockdown show on Brazilian television brings new features such as a change to the electoral system, an end to the dynamic that led to the most shacks and an exclusive channel to follow the leader of the week.
The premiere date itself represents a novelty, as the program led by Tadeu Schmidt begins a week earlier than in the 2023 edition. The participants will still be divided between Pipoca (anonymous) and Camarote (famous), but there will be a third group Puxadinho, about which the broadcaster has not yet revealed any details.
