Triple murder in Guyana: A grocer and two women from his family were found with their throats slit in Cayenne

A dirty affair, the details of which are not yet known. According to a police source, the manager of a grocery store and two women from his family were found dead with their throats slit in a shelter next to the small shop in the city center in Cayenne, Guyana, on Friday night.

The victims are a man born in 1961, the company's managing director, his sister born in 1966 and a young woman from their family born in 2004, said Commissioner Romy Laguens of the Cayenne criminal police on Saturday, specifying that the three people were their victims had their throats slit. According to the fire department, these are traders of “Asian origin”.

“At around 3.30 a.m. calls were received by the emergency services, but it cannot currently be clarified whether these calls came from the victims or other people, said the commissioner. In August 2023, a wave of robberies hit traders in Saint-Laurent, Guyana's second largest municipality after Cayenne.
