The cinematic phenomenon of these friendly trolls, voiced by Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, is making a remarkable comeback.

Since 2016, the year the first feature film was released, “Trolls” has enchanted the little ones in particular with its catchy mix of action and music. Older children and adults will also be thrilled with this third part, written by Elizabeth Tippet and directed by Walt Dohm.

Because in 92 minutes, “Trolls 3: New Tour” follows Branch (voice of Justin Timberlake in the original version) and Poppy (voice of Anna Kendrick), now a couple. The following adventures are, as usual in this colorful franchise, completely exploded and the visual worlds are particularly successful – we will notice the water and sand balls during their passage on the island of Vacay, as well as the texture variations of the hair of the trolls or the universe of the Bergen des abandoned golf course.

Divided into different worlds reminiscent of video game scenes, Trolls 3: New Tour is full of winks and adult details. This novelty – the first and second parts focused more on content intended only for children – makes the feature film particularly attractive for families, as it includes familiar elements for parents who experienced their childhood or adolescence in the 1980s and 1990s can find and share nostalgic memories with their children.

The songs, a trademark of the Trolls, are a cheerful mix of genres, from disco to pop to very current tunes. The defunct group NSYNC has even split up at the instigation of Justin Timberlake and released a new song called Better Place that will have moviegoers squirming. Undoubtedly, Trolls 3: New Tour is a breath of sunshine, music, laughter and joy.
