Although there were a few showers in the middle of the day over the Guadeloupe archipelago, the weather this Wednesday is quite good and the alert level remains green.
However, meteorologists primarily had an area of low pressure in mind.
A system that gradually strengthened and quickly reached tropical storm levels.
The tropical storm is expected to bring gusty winds, heavy rain and flash flooding to some islands in the Lesser Antilles starting Friday.
The phenomenon was expected to approach the West Indies Arc on Friday, with a slightly stronger episode overnight Friday into Saturday and throughout the day on Saturday. We will have very significant gatherings. Sea conditions are also expected to worsen. If the phenomenon intensifies, we will have a lot of wind.
However, it remains difficult to determine with certainty the course it should take. However, we can already expect Guadeloupe to be affected by the heavy rains that the storm should bring to its periphery. According to initial forecasts, South Basse-Terre could be affected this time too.
