The truck driver is arrested after attempting to kidnap the bikini barista from a drive-thru window using zip ties – and police say his unique ‘Chevrolet’ tattoo led to his arrest

Police have arrested a man suspected of trying to kidnap a bikini-clad barista through a drive-through window.

The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested at his home in Auburn around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators were able to search his vehicle and found evidence linking him to the scene, as well as his unique “Chevrolet” tattoo on his left forearm.

The driver of the Chevy Silverado remains in police custody and has yet to be formally charged with anything.

CCTV shows the man pulling a window in a truck outside the Beankini Espresso Auburn, a drive-through coffee shop in a suburb near Seattle, around 5 a.m.

The bikini-clad baristas are part of the cafe’s attraction, with the victim telling the incident was an “accidental act”.

She added that she had worked at the eth company for nine years and that they were female-owned and that employee safety was their top priority.

The store is outfitted with a silent panic button, metal doors, and security cameras — which explains they’re also allowed to have maces and tasers.

Auburn Police Department spokesman Kolby Crossley said: “They are in vulnerable positions because they usually check these spots themselves in the early hours of the morning when it’s dark outside.

“But this barista did a great job of protecting herself and fending off this person.”

Authorities added that they arrested the suspect after “overwhelming community support”.

In surveillance footage, the suspect can be seen grasping the woman’s arm with one hand while holding a zip tie in the other – before attempting to pull the victim out the window.

Speaking to , she said: “Our owner allows us to close the window on each customer and handle each situation as we feel comfortable. We may deny service to anyone for any reason.’

On Monday morning when the incident occurred, she said the man ordered and paid for a drink before asking for change on a $5 bill.

When she went back to give him the five one-dollar bills, he grabbed her—even though she and her colleagues had never seen him before.
