The US Supreme Court accepts consideration of Trump's appeal to run in the Colorado primary
The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, opened his election campaign in the state of Iowa this Saturday (6).
At his rally, he lied when he promised he would win “for the third time” Trump won the presidential election once, in 2016, and lost once, in 2020, to Joe Biden, but never conceded defeat.
Based on this lie, Trump supporters broke into the US Congress building, the socalled Capitol, in Washington exactly three years ago to try to reverse the result of the vote in which the politician was defeated.
Next Monday there will be caucuses in Iowa, which will be the first events of the primaries of the Republican Party, Trump's party, which will decide who will be the candidate for the presidential election this November.
Trump wants to return to the White House on January 20, 2025 despite a court case.
In a twohour speech to supporters in Newton, Trump did not elaborate on the events of Jan. 6, 2021, but referred to those arrested for the attack on the Congress building as hostages and promised that he would grant many pardons if reelected.
Trump criticized Joe Biden, his likely rival in the November election, saying the current president was responsible for the country's economic decline, fueled chaos at the border and failed to prevent Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The former president said that if Biden is reelected, World War III could occur.

Despite his problems in court and the risk of being arrested for his attempts to overturn the results of the November 2020 presidential election, polls show Trump with 60% of the vote in the Republican internal elections, well ahead of his primary opponents.
The former president denies inciting his supporters to attack the Capitol but still says the 2020 election was stolen. A criminal trial is expected to begin on March 4 in the American capital to determine what responsibility and pressure he would have exerted to try to overturn the election results.
