American President Joe Biden’s campaign team accused him Donald Trumpthis Monday (13) to “imitate” Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini by comparing their political opponents to “worms”.
In a campaign rally on Saturday (11), the Republican primary candidate for the White House in the 2024 elections promised to “eradicate the communists, Marxists, fascists and radical leftwing tyrants who live like vermin” in the United States.
Biden’s team says statements made on Veterans Day are similar to speeches made by dictators during World War II.
“Donald Trump emulated the autocratic language of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini,” Biden campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa said Monday.
A Republican spokesman described these allegations as “ridiculous” in a statement to AFP. “Those who make such insinuations (…) will be devastated when President Trump returns to the White House,” he said.
