through the Associated Press, Donald Trump wants to bomb Russia with American planes disguised as a Chinese flag.
UNITED STATES – Crazy new idea or just a geopolitical joke? During a meeting in New Orleans on Saturday, March 5, Donald Trump spoke about the situation in Ukraine and suggested that the next step for the United States would be to bomb Russia with ready-made American F-22s. Message.
“So we say China is responsible, we didn’t do anything, and then they fight each other. We just have to sit down and watch,” he clarified in front of a cheerful audience, adds the American newspaper, which received an audio recording of these remarks and cannot determine whether this is an act of a true proposal or a joke.
If this option seems unlikely, the newspaper nevertheless reminds that F-22 aircraft are not used by Chinese aircraft. This way, the real culprit will be quickly exposed.
Sino-Russian friendship “strong as a rock”
This operation would be contrary to international law in the first place. The interviewed experts clarify that the use of the flag of a neutral country or a country not associated with the conflict is completely prohibited and can even be qualified as a war crime. “Such a ploy is treacherous and violates international law. (…) Treachery, in other words, is treason,” explains, for example, constitutional law professor William K. Banks.
Instead of resolving a war between Russia and Ukraine, tensions will escalate and also draw the United States directly into the war. That is why the words of the former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armies between 2016 and 2020 are considered shocking. Moreover, he may well return to power in 2024, at the end of the term of his Democratic successor Joe Biden.
For their part, Russia and China do not seem to want war, on the contrary. This Monday, March 7, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi assured that the friendship between Beijing and Moscow is “strong as a rock.” Tied to a partnership with Moscow, China has refrained from condemning Russia’s intervention in Ukraine, refusing to even talk about an “invasion.”
The head of Chinese diplomacy also indicated that his country is “ready” to play a role in the Ukrainian crisis, in particular by participating “when the time is right” in international mediation to end the war. Beijing will also send humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Wang Yi said.
