Former US President Donald Trump has revealed that he could choose a woman as vice president if he wins the 2024 Republican Party presidential primary.
“I like the concept, but we’re going to pick the best person,” Trump said during an interview with NBC News in response to a question about the possibility of having a woman as vice president.
During the interview, the former president indicated that he was considering Kristi Noem, the current governor of South Dakota, for the position, who endorsed him last week at a Republican fundraiser in her state, where some participants held signs with the The names of both politicians were held up.
“I think she’s fantastic, she’s been a great governor, she’s given me very strong and valuable support,” Trump admitted.
