Former President Donald Trump made a number of promises for a second term during his speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition Gala Saturday night – including hosting a huge party to mark America’s 250th birthday.
During his presidency, Trump pushed the idea of North Korean military parades, and in 2019 was finally able to throw a grand Fourth of July celebration in front of the Lincoln Memorial — complete with tanks and flyovers.
He indicated that the US would be celebrating a major anniversary in 2026 and vowed to do it again. To “restore pride in our history and confidence in our future,” he will “extend a tremendous salute to America throughout the year to celebrate the 250th anniversary.” Anniversary.’
“And we’re going to have a big celebration.” And it’s going to be a celebration like we really deserve in this country for everything that we’ve been through,” Trump said.
“With you by my side, we will give our nation’s founding the grand anniversary celebration that America needs and so deserves,” added the 2024 hopeful.

In 2019, the then-President hosted a “Salute to America” in front of the Lincoln Memorial, marking a departure from typical Fourth of July celebrations
The event featured tanks and military flyovers rather than the President simply addressing a crowd of supporters and military families on the South Lawn
During his nearly hour-and-a-half appearance to the conservative Christian crowd, the former president also unveiled a possible new campaign slogan.
“I am being charged for you,” he said.
He continued to complain about recent federal charges against him for improper handling of confidential materials, arguing again that he was merely a past president “lawfully holding his own documents.”
The former president also called out Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged him with crimes related to Stormy Daniels’ 2016 hush money scheme, and vowed to take action against him and other prosecutors if Trump wins in the 2024 election to retake the White House.
“I will direct a completely overhauled Justice Department to investigate every radical prosecutor in America,” Trump promised, calling them “reverse racists.”
He earned a “USA” roar from the crowd as he announced, “I’m probably the only person in history who has been charged and my number has increased.”
“Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, Communists and Fascists impeach me, I take it as a great show of courage,” Trump said.
Trump slammed President Joe Biden for his son Hunter’s business ties with China, suggesting that the president was soft on the rising power because of his family’s financial entanglements.
“Joe Biden is by far the most corrupt president in the history of our country,” he said.
“Just two days ago, a very respected IRS whistleblower revealed that Crooked Joe sat in a room while his son Hunter sent a message to a Chinese Communist Party official,” the former president continued.
Trump then read a text message from Hunter to a Chinese business partner to the crowd.
In the text, Hunter says he is with his father and then says to the employee, “And we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled.”
“That’s cash he’s talking about,” Trump told the crowd of the “commitment.” “Within 10 days, the Bidens got $5.1 million from China.”
‘Can you belive that? “I didn’t know he was that tough,” Trump said of Hunter, drawing laughter.
Trump then claimed that Biden “doesn’t want to do anything because he can’t,” adding that nothing can be done “unless I come back in.”

“In that case, I will notify China that they have 48 hours to get any military and espionage equipment out of Cuba, or I will drop the hammer and there will be tariffs unlike anything China has seen before.” said Trump.
Trump was easily the favorite speaker at the conference, which was attended by all the major Republican presidential candidates for 2024.
“I have a question to ask Ralph: Have your other candidates been treated like this?” Trump said, turning to Ralph Reed, founder of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, who was seated behind him on the podium, drawing a cheer from the crowd.
Trump then joked that a presidential candidate was “booed off the stage,” alluding to New Jersey Gov. Chris Chrstie, whose criticism of Trump earned him heavy heckling at the conference on Friday morning.
He was joined on stage by MAGA allies – failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who was presented with a lifetime achievement award.
The former president announced an agenda for a second term.
He received great cheers when he vowed to “wipe out the deep state.”
Trump said he would set up a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” that would declassify all documents related to the so-called “deep state” and uncover any “espionage.”
Trump promised to tighten the border and expel illegal immigrants from the US
He said he will lead the “biggest domestic deportation operation” ever.
And he would “deny entry” to all “communists and totalitarians.”
“My question is, what do we do with those who are already here?” he considered.
Trump again claimed he could “settle” the Ukraine war within 24 hours.
“Before I even get to the Oval Office, I will see to it that the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine is ended,” he said.
He received a thunderous round of applause when he said he will be “your peacemaker.”
The crowd consisted of Christian conservatives who cheered that it was the first anniversary of Roe v. be wade
“I will fight the insane late abortionists in the Democratic Party,” Trump promised.
The former president has declined to say if he would support a proposed 15-week national abortion ban, which former Vice President Mike Pence, among others, supports.
Instead, Trump said that in a second term he would “bring everyone together to protect our precious unborn babies in a big way.”
The ex-president also vowed not to allocate funds to public schools that teach critical race theory or enforce vaccination.
Targeting the transgender community, he promised to oust transgender troops from the military, ban medical treatments to confirm the sex of minors, freeze taxpayers’ money on sex reassignment surgery, and ban transgender women from participating in women’s sports.
